Kisako's Culture Courses: A unique, accessible approach to Japanese art and culture Kisako offers instruction on some of the most fascinating aspects of Japanese culture. A course in sumie (brush-ink painting) kicked off in March 2008, and another course in bonsai started in March, 2009. In May, 2010,  a course in washi (Japanese traditional paper) started.  The courses are taught in English by instructors who devote their lives to these exquisite cultural forms. These courses are ideal for foreigners who live in the Tokyo area and are interested in learning more about Japanese culture through seeing and doing by themselves, as well as Japanese people who would like to learn or re-discover their own culture in English. キッ サコ日本文化講座：　 キッサコでは、２００８年３月に、日本文化講座第一弾として墨絵コースを開講しました。そして、２００９年３月には、第二弾として盆栽コースを、更に、 ２０１０年５月からは和紙コースを開講しました。いずれのコースも、それぞれの道のプロが英語で指導に当たります。 日本に住み、日本文化を自分の手を使って学びたいと考えている外国人の方はもちろん、自国の文化を英語を通して再発見したいと考えている日本人の方も歓迎 致します。 < Sumie Course > Terms for the year 2011: Spring Term --- March 26 - June 11, on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays Fall Term --- September 10 - November 26, on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays Class Size: Limited between seven and twelve students Location: The courses are held at a seminar room of the International House of Japan, which is located amid pastoral setting in Roppongi and has a lovely garden.
